Eating the right foods helps keep you healthy. Moreover a healthy diet can also make you look and feel young. Actually by taking a healthy diet you can help slow the aging process and perhaps even stave off age-related diseases, including osteoporosis, diabetes and heart disease. Fruits and vegetables high in flavonoids and carotenoids – two powerful plant-based antioxidants – help remove free radicals from your skin and body that cause premature aging.  As we get older, the body's machinery begins to function a little less smoothly and we become susceptible to age-related and degenerative diseases. But there are certain foods that can help counteract the negative effects aging has on the body. They won't make you younger or stop you from getting older, but they can improve your overall health and vitality, and protect you against disease and illness, which could prolong your life and make the years you do have more healthful. Eating healthy foods may even help preserve memory and protect against Alzheimer's and your skin will stay younger looking if you eat proper way.

Here are lists of few Anti-Aging Foods :  

1)  Blueberries : It's rich vitamin C content aids blood circulation and provides minerals and salts which help the body to fight the ageing process. Also high in potassium – found in all fruit and veg – fluid balance in cells is regulated, so combating puffiness and fluid retention.

2)  Hijiki : Sushi lovers should be sure to add a hijiki appetizer to their next order. The black sea vegetable is rich in iodine, which increases the synthesis of the thyroid hormone, thyroxine, to boost the metabolism. Also, 40 percent of hijiki is fiber, which helps regulate hormones and enhances liver detoxification.

Hijiki has a pasta-like texture, making it an ideal substitute when following a gluten-restricted diet. Simply soak the hijiki in water for 20 minutes, and then boil it for 10 minutes, just like pasta. Add hijiki to organic mixed greens tossed with spicy pumpkin seeds, avocado, and hemp seeds.
3)  Turmeric : Consider turmeric a regular must-have. It been shown to help prevent cancer, and it contains curcuminoid pigments that turn on genes that enhance the body's own synthesis of antioxidants. Turmeric also protects brain cells and skin cells from free radical damage, improving concentration and slowing the formation of wrinkles and fine lines.

4)  Broccoli : Steaming broccoli is the best way to hold onto all the great nutrients that this vegetable contains. A high source of fibre not only does broccoli help keep body weight low but with vitamin C and beta-carotene, it helps prevent and fight heart disease.

5)  Cranberry Juice : This fruit juice disrupts the formation of plaque and thereby prevents yellowing of teeth. The flavonoids in cranberry juice also counteract the damaging effects of bacteria that cause tooth decay. Be careful that you aren't drinking a sugar-laden cranberry juice cocktail.

6)  Green vegetable juice :  Juicing green vegetables breaks down the plant's cell walls so the nutrients can quickly be absorbed and assimilated into the body with very minimal digestive effort, making it the quickest way to infuse the body with antioxidants, phytonutrients, enzymes, oxygen, chlorophyll, vitamins, and minerals. An eight-ounce juice is equivalent to two large salads with no dressing.

Use the season to dictate the ingredients of a green vegetable juice. In summer, try cucumber, fennel, mint, kiwi fruit, and lime. In winter, make a juice with dandelion greens, spinach, spearmint, cucumber, apple, and Meyer lemon. A touch of citrus helps prevent oxidation.

7)  Dark Chocolate : Cocoa beans, from which chocolate is made, have a higher antioxidant capacity than any other food, and the high concentration of antioxidant flavanols in cocoa beans helps reduce inflammation of the skin caused by exposure to UV light. Furthermore, eating dark chocolate can increase circulation in the skin and improve its ability to retain moisture, which can reduce the appearance of wrinkles and help you look younger.

8)  Watermelon : Reddish-orange foods like tomato and watermelon, which are rich in beta-carotene and lycopene, increase your protection against harmful UV rays from the inside out. Both vitamins settle into skin's outer layer, where their antioxidant action helps repair cells damaged by sunlight. Studies shows that dueling duo helped improve markers of skin defense against UV rays by as much as 20 percent.

9)  Avocado : Everyone loves avocados, which is good news as they are high in vitamin E and a rich source of skin-protective antioxidants, essential for glowing skin and shiny hair. These wonder fruits also have a high folate content, which is important for skin cell regeneration and will give skin a more youthful complexion.

10) Cinnamon : Cinnamon is a known tonic and stimulant that warms the whole system and helps to combat fatigue. Sprinkle a little on your cereal at breakfast to get your daily intake.

11) Kidney beans : Pulses, and in particular, kidney beans are packed with fibre, potassium and zinc which all help to reduce cholesterol and protect against heart disease. But their big winner is protein: weight for weight dried beans contain as much protein as fillet steak, but have more health benefits. Add cold to a salad or include any time you make a vegetable chilli.

12) Fish : Fish is an abundant source of omega-3 fats, which help prevent cholesterol buildup in arteries and protect against abnormal heart rhythms.

13) Green tea : There is no end to the benefits of this super drink; green tea boasts a wealth of benefits that earns it the top spot in our anti-aging food list. Green tea is believed to help regulate blood pressure, lower blood sugar, boost the immune system, lower cholesterol and studies have even shown that green tea can be effective at preventing cancer.

14) Nuts : Nuts are rich sources of unsaturated fats, so they offer benefits similar to those associated with olive oil. They're also concentrated sources of vitamins, minerals and other phytochemicals, including antioxidants.

15) Carrots : This vegetable is an excellent source of vitamin A. The nutrient is essential for a healthy scalp and youthful, shiny hair.

16) Red Wine :One of the most well recognized anti-aging components found in red wine is an antioxidant called resveratrol. Studies have shown that resveratrol may help prevent blood clots, reduce the risk of cancer, decrease inflammation and lower bad cholesterol.

17) Water: Drink sufficient water, and side effects of even slight dehydration include headaches, fatigue and low concentration levels. Yet increasing fluid intake can increase energy levels, aid digestion, give skin a boost and help boost your anti-aging armoury. Concentrate on drinking little and often throughout the day, being extra vigilant after exercise or when you've been confined in a dry, overheated or air-conditioned environment.

20) Cucumbers : This salad favorite is great for skin. The silica in the peel helps reduce wrinkles and boost collagen. Buy them unwaxed if possible.
