It is said that eyes are the jewel of your body. The ability to see or one's range of vision is known as Eyesight. Don't take your eye health for granted. There are many types of eye problems and vision disturbances. These include blurred vision, halos, blind spots, floaters, and other symptoms. Blurred vision is the loss of sharpness of vision and the inability to see small details. Blind spots (scotomas) are dark "holes" in the visual field in which nothing can be seen.

Vision problems like cataracts and age-related macular degeneration affect millions of older adults. But these eye diseases can be slowed down or avoided by getting vitamins A, C and E, zinc, lutein, zeaxanthin, betacarotene and omega-3 fatty acids into your system, according to the Age-Related Eye Disease (ARED) study conducted by the National Eye Institute.

Food is taking center stage in health. When it comes to vision and food, growing evidence supports the idea that various vitamins and minerals protect vision for the long haul.

1)   Orange Juice : Vitamin C has promotes healthy ocular blood vessels, and can reduce the risk of nuclear cataracts (clouding in the center of your lens that can make you see multiple images). Orange Juice is one of the highest sources of vitamin C.

7)  Eggs : Egg yolks contain lutein which also helps the eye to preserve itself from mascular degeneration.
