Anger isn't something you can control.

Fact

It is true that you cannot control a situation, but it is not true that you cannot control the way you react to it. Emotions are something that you feel, and anger is an emotion. Use your anger as a clue to change a situation or relationship. When you use your anger well, you can take control of it rather than letting it have control over you.
